Yeah, I'm kinda with Tymps on this one. I too had a bunch of misdiagnoses for issues I had when I was a teenager. At one point I was diagnosed with AD/HD (after going through the standard battery of testing) and the medications they put me on just ****ed me up. Then I was diagnosed with a different condition. And another. Each with different courses of treatment and medications. None helped.

Modern psychiatry and psychopharmacology are still pretty archaic in a lot of ways

That's big misconception about psych. It is a science and it does use others within it. Biology is integrated a lot at times.
