It reminds me more of Talk That Talk to be honest, though the chorus and bridge in particular are more memorable than most of what's on both those albums.

I love the song but the lyrics are kinda lame. But it's a great tune overall. I adore her vocals on this one!

Correct. I even sighted One Life To Live as experimental because of the (unexpected) key change at the bridge which continues until the end of the song. It sounds like a completely different song towards the end.

The album as a whole can be described that way. Not just sonically but down to little things like the singing style Rihanna adopts on many of the tracks. This is particularly clear on the full version of "Only If For A Night" (Rihanna's distorted vocals and the production alone make for a very unique listening experience) as well as other songs like Never Ending and Pretty Nonsense (or just "Nonsense" as it may end up getting titled)
