What? The vocals in that Jingle Ball 2013 performance are some of the best she's ever done in Just Dance's normal key, perhaps even the best. It's a shame she didn't do the entire song if anything.

I'd hope not, but we don't know she might actually make it boom. It's not exactly a huge trend and people have been saying it was a trend since late 2013/ early 2014 so we'll see.

Get Lucky started it in 2013. She'll be releasing 2016, so I don't think she's hopping on anything.

The trend of the moment is tropical house pop like Bieber's making so it's not like she'll be following what's popular if she does disco. Plus, funk is a timeless sound.

Basically. And again there are different forms of funk. I really hope she doesn't go the Kylie Minogue dance/funk which screams gay. There's nothing wrong with it, but it'd box her in.

I would prefer something fresh tbh, her hopping onto something "trendy" is not gonna work either. I think her doing something really remarkable regardless of if it's going to work on radio or not is the way to go. I mean, since the ARTPOP release, only 3 female albums have sold more than it (Taylor, Adele & Beyonce).

So, a similar era to ARTPOP sales wise + a lot of critical acclaim would be perfect imo.

I agree, but I don't really think there's ever been a defined "funk" or "disco" trend tbh. I think there's just been a few songs with that kind of vibe. With the biggest hits being Get Lucky and Uptown Funk. As long as she's doing something authentic, with good production I think she'll be good.

And yeah, I agree with ARTPOP sales + critical acclaim that's about all we can ask for at this point.

IDK why but I feel that Gaga is going to finally deliver again with her next era. Not talking about success or any of that, I'm talking about performances, image & music
