Music News: Sia talks Rihanna's 'ANTI' rejects, mentions Beyonce album

I mean This is why I'll never stan for Rihanna no matter how awesome "her" music is/will be
I don't believe her music ( that was written by someone else), especially when her team wants a more "soul and down to earth" music
I respect her as a singer/entertainer and as a person, but this is where it ends. She is not a music artist.
Sia is a real artist

They clearly don't have that MUCH interest in Sia. As they shouldn't. Her sound is dated and she sounds stuck up in this interview.
All these producers come and go but Rihanna still remains consistent with her "ear of music" and that's all that matters.

Sia sounds stuck up?
When it's the other two who didn't show up to their schedualed writing sessions?
She actually comes across quite humble & light-hearted about the whole thing.
You sound pressed at the exposure.
I love Rihanna, but let's not pretend she was ever this great, creative force. She is an innovator in the sense that she dares to push & experiment with new sounds, but her skills lie in her presence, her delivery & her visuals - she is a creative channel, a master chameleon, but not a creator.
Edit:
I'd like to add that I absolutely love how Sia is conceptualizing this era. "This is acting" isn't only about her playing a part it seems - but with all this behind the scenes exposure, it's as though she's subtly suggesting that the entire Industry is an act, in a way. I'm liking her approach - it isn't blatant nor has she actually descredited other artists in the process, despite them rejecting her songs.

They are both better than anything on 25 and I much prefer Sia's voice to Adele so I'm so pleased Sia took the rejects.

Death at her dragging like that, I love her.

The 3 singles from ANTI are proof that her "hear of music" is failing her.

Sia isn't a real artist either imo. She's making an album full of rejects. And some of these songs were not only rejects, but also songs that were made with specific intentions or even under instructions (Diamonds 2.0 etc). She also admitted she doesn't even care about one of the songs on her album and that she put it on her album because her manager insisted. That's not a real artist to me. Just my opinion though.

So you go by listening to music, thinking, "Did she write this? No, not a real artist, I can't respect her or her music anymore"
I just want the album. But death @ the expose

Sia is definitely a real artist. This is just a side project pretty much it's an interesting concept that doesn't work that well but it's new music either way.

Wait so there is some hope for some bops on this album? I'm interested once again.

No, I have tons of regular pop songs written by someone else in my playlist, but I try to support musicians who make/produce their own music, and this is just my opinion

This is a project that will be available for purchase, so she's going to make money off of it. It's also a project with promo, a lead single, radio adds and all the makings of an actual album campaign. If it was a free EP, I'd just shut up about it.
No disrespect to Sia's back catalogue because she's always going to be the woman who delivered Distractions and Breathe Me. But what she's doing, whatever you may call it, has no real artistry to it.

We already knew those things.
Rihanna has very small input and cobtrol over her records.
Her team choose the album direction, songs for her and once a while she hit the studio to record vocals on it. That's all.

Mostly we've been pitching on Rihanna for the last couple years because she's been looking for a couple years. Well, it feels like a couple years. It might be one year. They're always looking for that first single.

This shady tea!

I don't like the image she paints for Rihanna tho. Like, people behind her telling her to write something with spirit...

!!
That's why I love her so much though! She just does not give a ****. I'm convinced she'd even drag Beyonce too if the opportunity presented itself.
I'm really excited for the rest of This Is Acting. Reaper and Cheap Thrills sound heavenly

I didn't send as much to Beyoncé, though I do know she's working on something.

That's all I care about, thanks for the tea Sia

And there's nothing wrong with that, just that your previous post sounds very pretentious.

And sia need to stop writing for a while.
She write too much just to 'sell' and they're same, boring thing.
No wonder so many artists said no.
