I want This Was 1997 to be a thing.
Homogenic vs. If You're Feeling Sinister vs. Life After Death vs. Portishead vs. Time Out Of Mind, and Baduizm vs. Dig Me Out vs. OK Computer vs. Supa Dupa Fly vs. When I Was Born For The 7th Time. Whew.

Pretty sure almost all, if not all, of these have been used.

I've reserved the Confident vs Moonlight vs Revival rate. I wanted to add Miley but she hasn't released/announced a comparable album.

The abandoned TW2013 was Haim vs. Neko Case vs. Kanye vs. Daft Punk vs. Vampire Weekend
Drake/Disclosure could fit in somehow I guess. Maybe Arcade Fire too? You could split all those into two rates of four albums each.
Beyoncé/Janelle/Charli XCX/Sky Ferreira/Kacey Musgraves/Lorde have all been used in other rates

I would suggest: Kanye/Vampire Weekend/Daft Punk/Haim in Pt.1 and then Chance The Rapper/Neko Case/Disclosure/Arcade Fire in the next one. Drake and David Bowie could be added possibly.
Not sure how much people would be here for MBV etc. so I left them out.

I feel like more people would be here for MBV than Chance The Rapper.

Yeah, please don't subject us to the Daft Punk album.
Or if you have to, let us give 0s. Trash like Get Lucky deserves nothing more than a -1 at best.

Daft Punk's album wasn't even that bad though, it was overrated but it's not even bad enough to be offensive.
Those sound like good pairings tbh!

Daft Punk's music is bad enough to be offensive. They're the kind of act that rock elitists cite themselves as being fans of to make it seem like they "do actually enjoy pop music!!1!", ugh.

Well Daft Punk has like the #3 rated album of that year according to the P&J polls (what the This Was are based on) so they kind of have to be there.
I'd rather Chance The Rapper be there too, don't replace him.

I wouldn't be opposed to ICÓN being used a second time, btw.
