woulda coulda shoulda's but isn't in pure album sales.
Like dem girls that brag about streaming when their faves album sales leave much to be deserve.
Yes my fave is top X in streaming services in which most are using the free editions and the artist gets little benefit.
It literally, just this week, once again showed it's impact by having it's successor sell 3.38M in US and 5.7M WW in addition to having "Hello" become the fastest-selling single ever (not counting Elton's charity single).
And yet people are STILL doubting it's power, let alone comparing it to Britney's eras.
From what I understand, Guy Berryman (The bass player) has been using Coldplay primarily to pay the bills the last couple of years. He did a really experimental side project called Apparatjik a few years ago with the lead singer of Mew and one of the guys from A-Ha. He definitely seems to be looking in a different direction.
The fact even the bandmates know the music is trash .
Why 21 is the biggest album of all time, I can't say for sure, there are some great tracks including two of the singles but the rest doesn't cut it for me. But it really basically is. It should be compared with, like, the made up hundreds of millions that the MJ stans came up with for Thriller, not Baby.
It was the only album to sell 5M. It's like saying Mariah carey's diamond albums pale in comparison to High school musical's top selling album of 2006.
