I'm pretty sure the username "changes" aren't permanent since it's just the beta. We're just testing it out, so whatever username you use on the beta won't matter in the long run.
I'm not sire if the new threads would carry over because that seems kind of tedious, but some moderators said that we wont be starting over completely as everyone transfers over to the beta, so maybe they will.
