Hm if you listen to 48+ songs per day on average, you actually get more out of Spotify Premium than the $10 you pay for.
$10 a month / $0.007 they pay out to industry per stream = 1,429 tracks.
1,429 tracks / 30 days = 48 tracks per day.
Therefore, if one listens to over 48 tracks per day, Spotify pays more than $10 to the industry for them, despite the person only paying $10. Therefore one gets more than they pay for. Example: You listen to 2,000 songs and they pay $0.007 per track, therefore they paid $14 to the industry.
According to the good sis last.fm I listen to 95 tracks per day. Reason #1001 that Spotify > iTunes.

Is the $0.007 paid out per play of a track or only once per track?

Good thing I have the student discount. I must really be stealing from the good sis Spotify.
i hope something gets resolved because right now im confused af
i finish every episode and sit like this for a good 5 minutes before moving on
It all starts making sense in the 2nd season, I swear (like, you can actually understand the premise of the show and what kind of message they want to send with it).
How do you get the Student Discount? Is it easy in a way that one who isn't actually in College can still get?
You need to provide them with the name of the school you're attending and a student id. They then use that info with some 3rd party database to confirm your status as a student. If that fails, you can send them a screenshot of your transcript/tuition bill/anything that shows you're a current student for validation.
