Man quit playing yourself, y'all don't want her to be herself. This reminds me of her Breakfast Club interview where she talked about how someone wanted to "take Nicki Minaj back to her essence." Roman Reloaded era was pretty much Nicki being herself, from the angry lashout of Stupid Hoe, to the creative expression of Roman in Moscow and Roman Holiday, to making the album half EDM while she enjoyed a popstar phase. You guys hate RR era. Whenever anything doesn't go Nicki's way, you bitch endlessly about how her team didn't plan carefully enough and the era wasn't manipulated correctly. It's like you don't understand why she isn't just naturally perfect. This is probably why stans are known for being harder on their fave than anyone else.

Do you even care that she went from claiming she didn't do drugs to nearly dying of an overdose? That she just ended a relationship that was probably so deep nobody here can even really imagine it? She talks in All Things Go about how her family relationships are strained because of her career, but you guys never talk about that. It's just, "when's the next album? At least give us a Soundcloud era!" Obviously I want new music but I feel like some of you put your wants way above Nicki's needs.

Roman Reloaded is definitely Nicki being herself. But I think she was a bit confused at the time and didn't really know what to do, so the result ended up being messy. After all it's the first album she made after reaching an overwhelming amount of fame and attention.

RR was Nicki being herself, sort of. She just let loose with no restrictions or rules. Which is why she described the album as freedom. But that doesn't mean she wasn't tryna please a certain vanilla crowd. Regardless of the fact, Nicki needs to find a balance in being free & restrained.

Now home girl is addicted to pills, we get it & we see it but what in the hell are we supposed to do? She's grown.

I've always felt that RR was the least her, it feels like it was the most restricted album from her discography. The Pinkprint is a far better depiction of her and her artistry, imo.

Also the Anaconda remix with the unreleased "coochie that's fatter" verse has been delayed until Christmas now.

RR was definitely her. It reflected how she felt, and what she liked at that time. I don't think anyone forced her to record those pop songs.
With TPP she didn't "go back to her true self" or whatever. Her style just evolved again. And she matured a lot more because everything that happened with SB and all that.

But that's just my point of view

With RR she was just being crazy and without no restrictions, with TPP she was showing another side of hers, with PF, she was being the crazy girl with an original and incredible talent. To me, there isn't A album that describes her the most...

I've been saying this for months and I'm gonna keep saying it.

The singles choices were trash and they didn't do much for selling the album. The urban songs had more traction because that's what the people wanted this era. Had she pushed FM and TB to its full potential and released WSM and Win Again (which would have been hits) she MAY have sold more.

Remove TNISY, Trini Dem Girls and Grand Piano and TPP is mostly Urban. It's not impossible.

These should have been taken off of the album in the first place but that's just my subjective opinion. The fact that some of these were singles choices makes it even worse. She advertised the album as lowkey going back to her "roots" (if you will) then release these. TDG did absolutely nothing.

Grand Piano is great imo and I'm glad it was on the album considering this is her emotional album.

But I don't need Grand Piano 2.0 on her next album.
