I've said this before through the thread, but you must not have seen it. The all-time Soundscan weekly sales record for any recording, combining singles and albums, is Candle In The Wind 1997, with 3.44-3.45 million copies. I'm pulling for Adele to reach 3.5 million, which I'm still keeping as my prediction. That is a record she hasn't broken, yet, but I'm pulling for her to do before midnight Thanksgiving. She needs to step on the gas harder now though, as she "only" sold 250-300k yesterday.
We don't know how sales were today, although I myself bought two copies of
25, two copies of
21, and one copy of
19 as Christmas presents for my family. So I did my part to help Adele get there this week. Since this seems to make a difference (although because they're for different family members I needed to anyway), I bought one 25 & 21 together, and then bought the other 25 & 21 together. Since I had to go to another Target to buy 19, that was a third purchase.
I'm hoping there was a pre-Thanksgiving rush that boosted sales today, since the two Targets I went to were both quite busy. Some stores will stay open tomorrow, and others (mumbled grumbling in anger

) will force their employees to come in so they can open up as early as 6 pm Thanksgiving night for Black Friday sales. Any sales before midnight Thanksgiving will go toward this week, while after midnight on Black Friday goes toward next week, when I think she'll sell around 1.25 million.
