she has had 3 singles already, none of them did
exceptionally well. Maybe 'ANTI' is just not the type of album that has hit or radio songs on it. Maybe It will have an experimental sound mixed with heavy urban influences and she and her team thought that those 3 songs were the only songs on the album that could/would be picked up by radio and the GP.
If THAT is the case and she is aiming for that experimental sound and rather wants to have an amazing body of work instead of just hits, THEN it is the right decision not to release a single too long before the album release.

i don't know, but it has been ages since a Rihanna album (as a whole body of work) has convinced me and i feel like this will. I for myself don't really care if it is going to underperform as long as the music will be amazing. i kinda start stanning for many people whenever they decline anyways lately, dunno why.(even though i hope ANTI will be successful of course) - at least people can't accuse me of bandwagoning
