What's wrong with Adele wanting success and admiration? Of course she does. Don't project the public's idea of her as the "authentic mysterious artist" onto her. She's no Amy and she's never pretended to be.
Good point, but she has quite a few moments ("I'll never cover Vogue or Rolling Stone!") that show she does want to be the "authentic mysterious artist."
Nah BTW sold because of hype and then fizzled and is now completely forgotten. Its callout scores were never good. People actually love Hello. Like really, really love it.
It is very good.
I am always representative of the GP. I know what is good.
This is why I know "When We Were Young" is her "Judas" and her career will be over soon, followed closely by her life.
Adele seems genuine, who wouldn't be insecure after releasing a blockbuster like "21", she wants to match the expectations
Exactly, anyone would be scared of following 21 up especially after seeing the huge backlash Gaga got with her follow-up to TF/M. Plus I don't really get why people are dragging her for working with Max Martin, it was just one song

BTW isn't nowhere nearly as accessible as Hello.
Do What U Want and even Applause would have pulled similar #s to Hello had either been her comeback single.

Adele singing woman is still getting 12 million views a day
Nah BTW sold because of hype and then fizzled and is now completely forgotten. Its callout scores were never good. People actually love Hello. Like really, really love it.
It's the same thing. Regardless of anything, Adele could have released 4 minutes of a dial tone and it would have sold.
It's just the effect she has over the GP right now. Her material is elevated in their minds and it's tricking them into believing it's better than what it is.
When We Were Young is the only song from 25 I could bother listening to all the way through. I'm thankful that's gonna be the next single and a guaranteed smash instead of something extremely boring like Sweetest Devotion or River Lea.
Other than that, I'm glad Bieber is blocking her ass in Europe with his singles. Selling out with upbeat dance pop >>>>>>>> Selling out with old people Barbara Streisand B-sides
Good point, but she has quite a few moments ("I'll never cover Vogue or Rolling Stone!") that show she does want to be the "authentic mysterious artist."
True, she can be contradictory. I guess she sold out. But I would too lol. She was so young when she got famous and obviously had some realizations along the way.
Do What U Want and even Applause would have pulled similar #s to Hello had either been her comeback single.
Do What U Want definitely would have been an enormous smash if it was her comeback single, it's like the only good song she's released since 2009. But because she's stupid (and ugly) she tried to desperately pander to the gays with her comeback and ended up getting out-sold by 4 of Teenage Dream's singles
Another way to compare today's apples to yesterday's oranges is by adjusting for "inflation." Everything from food prices to movie revenues are regularly adjusted for shifting currency values -- for example, $100 in 1980 would go as far as $290 would today. The difference, of course, is that music sales have fallen, not risen, since 2000. Adjusting for that contraction, Adele's projected first-week sales would be equivalent to her selling 7.59 million units in 2000.

True. She was young when she first made it and she was always fat.
It's not like she came from a background of natural confidence and conviction. She's probably just learning how to handle herself as a woman in the world.
Still, there are so many holes in 25. And that's talking about the album and Adele herself this era.
I'm convinced she isn't allowed to wear bright colors until the era is over.

It's a circular effect.
No. That never lasts more than a month. Just look at BEYONCÉ and how quickly it sank. None of its singles did anything. Hype can only do so much.
