I mean, the only song that I come back to is Hands to Myself. I find the rest disposable. The biggest issue is that her voice just can't hold its own against the production, especially on tracks like Revival, Good For You, and Survivors. Plus, the songwriting itself is lazy and generic; I haven't heard another song this year so riddled with cliches like Sober is. Same thing with Camouflage and Me & the Rhythm.
At least Ellie's album legitimately feels ambitious as if all her effort was put into it (can't say the same for Selena when she relies heavily on songwriters). The hooks and production on Delirium actually make you move, and even if her voice isn't that strong, it's definitely capable and unique. It could use a dose of editing, but with such a long track list, quite a few songs are bound to be likeable. Plus, there are no lyrics as lame as these:
Quote:
You don't know how to love me when you're sober
When the bottle's done you pull me closer

Yeah all I need
Is the rhythm, me and the rhythm
Nothing between
Yeah the rhythm, me and the rhythm

I personally think even Confident is better than Revival because Demi has a great voice. Just my opinion.
