I like her best when she plays really loud and noisy guitar riffs so Marry me always leaves me feeling underwhelmed compared to her other albums. But it's definitely not bad by any means.

This rate made me realise that Actor is kinda her worst album. At least Marry Me is consistent.

And it used to be my favourite too.

Strange Mercy isn't even a bad record, it's just grossly overrated and I've never really personally connected with it as a whole body of work in the way I have with the other three records. Individual songs, sure, but the whole thing doesn't do it for me.

Cruel, Northern Lights, and Year Of The Tiger are the SM trinity, by the way.
