Well to be fair, it probably was much easier to just make the storyline center around a relationship. The public was always going to assume that's what it was about anyways.
Kacey was NOT the favorite to win. Taylor was predicted to win by many pundits. Country fans wanted Kacey to win, but they thought Taylor's position in the music industry was too much to overcome.
But death at the shade when they played "I Knew You Were Trouble." Really, Grammys?
Love both of these records but I feel like the ones I posted have a more definite AOTY-feel to them.
But I would love to see both of those records get recognition as well(which I think won't be the case unfortuanately)

Florence won't even get nominated most likely. Which is a shame because it's a great album but I could see Sufjan pulling a Beck.
