After the amazing success this year has been, I've stopped doubting everything.

Just receiving an Oscar nomination would be amazing.
And I feel like the Emmys will nominate her just because of her name.

If she's in the middle of an era when the Emmys and Golden Globes come around, her team could pull a fast one and strike a deal to have her attend in exchange for a win or nomination (happens all the time).

If she were to win an Oscar, her legacy would be cemented. No one could drag her, call her a fad, a flop, etc. anymore. All they would be able to do is seethe.

Well, they're in SYG for a reason, it's the only place they can seethe without getting a warning.

The funny thing is, most of the people seething are the usual Katy, Rihanna, and Madonna fans, and if you take a look into any of those girls' base threads, their fanbases are melting down on a daily basis. Gaga fans seem to be the only fanbase content at the moment. Must be all the acclaim and success she's received over the year.

I'm also not betting on an Oscar nom but I've been surprised time and time again this year so who knows. She's already won one award for TIHTY that is chosen by some of the people who choose who wins Oscars.

I think she'll be nominated, Diane is campaigning hard and has an overdue element to her name + was just nominated, GaGa just performed for them. I don't think a win is likely though

The picture with TIHTY will become much clearer on Dec.7th and Dec.10th when Grammy and Globes nominations are announced. The song needs to score both, or at least Globes to get in the precursor awards. Her appearance at the Globes is almost guaranteed. Even if there's no nom, she will be invited to present.
Academy voters are paying much closer attention to film awards than to musical.

She did it to try to show off that she produced it / chose the chords.

Yeah, the guitar was a mess. Her DWUW piano section was enough for X-Factor, it shows the messiness of how they were trying to push two singles at all promo spots (X-Factor, Graham Norton, Alan Carr) and they all ended up being subpar performances (excluding the acoustic Alan Carr masterpieces)
