One song obviously moved up prior to the final publication of the Hot 100 that wasn't there yesterday. There could've easily been bad data for a song, a la Lana Del Ray, that either wound up with enough points to crack the Hot 100, or enough to keep a song out of recurrency, once the corrected information came in.
Also, Uptown Funk moved from #37 to #36, meaning it stayed in the Top 40 for the entire 2015 Chart Year, and placing it among an elite group of songs able to remain in the Top 40 for a full year. There have been some really long stays on the Hot 100 the last couple of years, but too many of those weeks were below #40 for the song to get a year in the Top 40. UF still ranks ahead of SYA in sales and airplay, but SYA holds the lead in streaming and the Hot 100. It'll be interesting to see what happens this week after the very likely chart reformulation, though the AMAs will play a factor on next week's Hot 100 too.
Also, do y'all think Billboard will switch the genre album charts to the SPA format, or leave them as sales only? Next week would be the likely time to change them should that happen.
