The music score for FS was THE WORST of them all like they kept putting that backgroun ttrack on every scene .... no matter if someone was killing people or Elsa was crying about something, it was dcking atrocius
I didn't like Freak Show's tbh....I liked it some, but they played it way too much and it watered down the emotion
What is It Follows?
ETA: After listening to Freak Show's back, I don't mind it that much. They just played it too much and it didn't fit what was going on. It sounds like it would have fit for an Alien theme tbh.
And this one, they played after Anne Frank (or whatever her real name was) had her lobotomy, and they zoomed in on Arden in the concentration camp photo...I love the contrast of the happier tone with the dark revelation
Do you guys know what I'm talking about with the high pitched strings sounds? It wasn't necessarily a song, they were just like sound effects, like after certain lines they'd play these quick strings....I loved it.
I actually loved the Freak Show score as well, more than the actual season.. Did they ever release any of the tracks?
edit: omg nevermind I found it
edit 2: and then there's this one i could cry for days tbh
Salty Pepper is probably my favourite AHS track out of all the seasons. SO good. It was used just enough too.
Honestly after finishing Freak Show again, I'd say I'm not even sure if it's my least favourite season anymore It had more emotion than other seasons, and one of the best episodes of the whole series (Orphans). I really like the finale honestly. They did it well other than murdering legend Eve.
Complaints:
- Why did they do Maggie so wrong? She had her whole redemption arc coming and then suddenly she goes back into a box when she almost died in one like 2 weeks earlier? And why did no one stop Chester when Maggie started screaming? Ryan ha distaste for Emma.
- Why was Chester a thing?
- Not enough Ma Petite
- Angela not helping Eve out at the last episode while she was going at Dandy was tragic.
- Not really "scary"
