Not only syphillis. Hep C and chlamydia though Yes, getting HIV is worse than these STDs but with the rise of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and superbug, this is quite alarming for people not to realize some bacteria now cannot be simply killed by just taking antibiotics

i don't know about you but in my experience condoms are not 100% effective. condoms can break, and if a guy busts in the condom who's to say it won't leak from the base? condoms can slip too. and there's also things like oral to think about. there are just so many loopholes to conventional "safety" practices that I think adding prep into the equation as an extra layer of safety (that will completely remove any and all guilt/fear/stigma from the equation) is completely worth it.

I know i personally have had nights where the guy finishes and he pulls out and his load is literally dripping and foamed up and frothy at the base of the condom. you know how guys will finish but keep thrusting? his *** was sloshing around and got worked into a lather and was all over me and up inside me- it's like he might as well have just bred me. not trying to scare yall but condoms in my opinion are sometimes simply not enough when this much is on the line.

all in all though, all of this aside, prep is a positive thing
and its quite odd to me how so many of us are rejecting it based on the fact that some people will use this in promiscuity.

This has already been seen with PrEP's introduction. Oral/Anal Gonorrhea and Syphilis, among other STIs have increased.

This I agree with though.
A lot of people are, to put it crudely, quite ignorant/thoughtless and use prep without any sense of caution because they think its a miracle drug and they are now sexually unstoppable or something.

tbh though most people arent concerned about condoms these days, hiv infection has risen significantly because of it. and I think thats attributed to our generation being so far removed from the aids crisis of our elders and also the argument that being positive is no longer a death sentence. that and i feel like our generation just doesnt give a f*ck sexually. f*cking has no consequences to anyone anymore in a variety of ways. seemingly anyway.

You can get HIV from semen as well, rare cases, but as simple as positive nut getting in tha wrong place without being penetrated you can contract it.
