Let's hope their intel is correct and the accuracy is good. The US had those days of hitting everything civilian but the intended targets with 50+ air strikes during 1 night.
Our resources aren't endless and we have to use them wisely. We don't have the American bean counters saying that dismantling stock piles of expired bombs cost too much man hours and it can be done cheaper by dropping them anytime you like on foreign soil. Or in the sea before you land on a carrier because a submissive Belgian minesweeper behind the carrier will pick them up and dismantle them for free. We don't have 3 million jobs depending on having enough wars to fight and consuming enough supplies.
Our troops are professionals wanting to be in the military. Not the poor folks in the 50% unemployment hoods snatched up by the recruiters because the US doesn't provide a non-military choice to get out of poverty. Poor people join US military because the military can pay college for them.
