When will pop stars learn that they're better off listening to their labels and giving the public what they want rather than trying to be "auteurs?" Not only does the music end up sucking afterward, but it's ALWAYS detrimental to their careers and leads to a massive decrease in success.
Miley, Gaga, Rihanna, Madonna, Beyonce, Britney, Christina, etc. have all suffered one way or another because of this. Katy's probably next if she doesn't just stay in her lane and continue delivering the jams everyone's accustomed to.
