Wow this thread is so messy (not unexpected though)
Both of these albums are selling amazingly and both fanbases should be happy, bc it is unlikely either would ave sold this much without the competition
And they are both doing promo, just not to the same extent
One of them is gunning for it harder than the other obviously. If they were to do the same amount of promo I do believe the outcome would be different.
That is not to take away from Justin's accomplishment, and people are allowed to question his and 1D's marketing methods. Though like I said one of them is really going for it, and I understand why people will want to take that into consideration while judging the commercial success of these albums
Anyways I do hope 1D get it in the end
