well of course he is gonna rise. the album was attached with the three purpose concerts at the staple center with each ticket. plus he has that lyft deal where you can buy his album for $5. then there was that one private nyc event where if you bought the album on his site you get entered into a chance to attend.

I have no issues with his promotion. I think it's some of the strongest we've seen in a long time. He can offer golden tickets and reach arounds for all I care. My issue is with the discounted albums.

Without the deals, JB would be #2 in sales. But since he made the "buy a ticket, get the album for $4" deal, his sales are obviously going to increase.

Wasn't that only for one concert though? TBH billboard will tell us how many albums came from the discounted rate and none of us know whether and to what extent those discounts could affect the sales outcome. You're not including the fact some people who were already going to buy the album could just switch to the cheaper option since they now have the chance which wouldn't affect the album sales at all. All this to say that this bickering is meaningless until billboard gives us some actual numbers.

Plus anyone saying he is solely in the lead because of the deal is a little delusional since it was a close battle before the deal was even announced.

It's not our fault your faves management aren't as smart. Also if they plan on doing it in the first place, will it even be possible? They can't afford to lower the prices or fill the Staples center 3x. It's marketing strategy, but it won't work if people aren't interested.
