Selena has sold 5M albums with 5 studio releases and a greatest hit. Ariana has sold 2.4M with two albums. Both have an album still selling (Revival and My Everything).

Ariana has higher global single sales, higher streams and higher touring. With the release of Moonlight, she will easily surpass Selena in album equivalents (she's just barely below her). There's no need to continue this topic.

Focus being a flop and GFY being a hit doesn't mean change the fact that Ariana has always been more successful than Selena. Unless you're Adele or Taylor Swift, there's a decent chance that you might flop at some points in your career. Selena needs to beat Ariana in other areas (touring, album sales, streaming, critical acclaim etc.) and keep it up for a year or so while Ariana continues declining before we can say that she's bigger. It's a simple concept.
