Adele's 2nd single will depend on "hello"'s life... as soon as her label sees that the "sales+radio+streaming" combo is not enought to stay at #1 another week that will be the sign for them to release the 2nd single and make Adele replace herself on top... Unless they manage to stay on top til Grammy's, make it 17 weeks to beat the record but at the same time release that week 2nd single with a performance and video release... so "hello" will be #2 on its 18th week being replaces by Adele's 2nd single

Alessia cara'a album is getting buried in all the drama and its gonna get worse next week. I think she shouldve waited until new year after Here had peaked and there was less new competition.
I'm rooting for Bieber since his music has been so good this era. But I know he's gonna get SO cocky after he beats 1D.

They probably hope for more sales from all the coverage about the "race" for #1. Sales >>>> number #1s for labels.
