I think Beyoncé's aggressive choreography is one of her strong selling points and one of the only feminist things about her -- she's no longer concerned with "looking pretty" while performing choreography. Her choreography in that "Feelin' Myself" performance with Icki Minazi was probably one of the best times Beyoncé has ever performed choreography, live or in a music video. It's not her just hip-thrusting and posing like she usually does. She's actually using her arms, legs and torso. Visually, it looked pretty epic and powerful. You're right. Her aggressive, powerful stage presence is a big part of her iconography. She's like a warrior queen onstage. But it's ugly.

I come back and Missy's new video comes out. I'm so glad she didn't change to fit what's in now since what's in now is garbage, lack of originality and lack of creativity.

I do agree with you he has no middle area. I don't use the nasally register because it makes great production/verses seem childlike. The songs where his vocals are smooth and crisp are exceptional.

Maybe the nasally puberty in process tinged vocals are what his stans come to expect and he will slowly ween them off with more songs with crisp vocals. Perhaps this is the last time he can get away with those childish vocals so I say go for it but I need his adult vocals to take center stage for his future eras.

Purpose will definitely serve as a template for comeback eras for little boys that go off track and then get things back right.

Very clever of him to use Where are you now? to test the waters and I'm happy his urban esque songs don't sound too try hard.

On Monday's & Tuesdays, everyone would be talking about how excited they were for it. On Wednesday's everyone would be talking how it was coming on that night and on Thursdays, everyone would be talking about what happened in the episode. Not to mention it would shut Twitter DOWN.

Now I never hear anyone talking about it.

I totally remember him posting this message and thinking. Watch this will happen exactly as he calls it, per usual.

On my team at work, there are three members (each are the most immature of our group) that obsess over Empire and last season when we had to travel to sites for our work project they had this viewing party in one of their hotel rooms and asked me to join.

I was like, nah I'm good. I much rather go to a nice restaurant for dinner...with the intelligent people on my team (I didn't say that last part though).

I knew it would be a big hit but I felt like it wouldn't stand the test of time.
Like an Ally McBeal of this decade or I'm trying to think of a show that peaked first season but the interesting thing is that I can't recall them because they are so forgettable now.

Maybe Dawson's creek or Felicity in the 1990s.

I agree, the social relevance is gone. The main thing I noticed is how during S1 everyone would be live tweeting and posting photos of it live on Instagram. Now literally nobody is talking about it on social media.

I wonder if the gay scenes drove people away.

Lee daniels came for her and he didn't get his emmy or oscar nom??? his show is dropping in ratings.

Man, there are so many shows like this especially in the 90s and early 00s but they are so forgettable now which is the point. I wish I could recall more but this is why I didn't invest in the hype.

I don't care if I'm behind I'll wait the 2nd season mid way through to see if it's still standing on solid foundation.

I try to sit through more than one scene but I literally couldn't do it for one episode season 1 and the season premiere this season.

The most i catch now is what i see on that bravo show The people's couch.

Didn't they add a whole lot of celebs like naomi campbell?

Love Naomi but bringing on celebs takes away from the soap opera fantasy factor.

Even soap operas don't use that many celebs for the same reason.

These shows are pushing the envelope a bit too much for the audiences they cater for. That is emipires biggest issue.
