^ Sorry, but Nick Cannon only suggested Mariah record the song, which I think was a right decision. It's the executives who made Mariah release IWTKWLI (check her recent live performance's 'talk' section for more details). Even she said it's not her decision

I knew this song is not for american radio but will be a hit worldwide.

Executives she listens to are dumb. MC should hire me.

And release H.A.T.E.U. asap if that's what they're going for (though I really prefer Standing O).

Maybe you gotta look at the interviews again, but Mariah clearly stated that Nick said she should do another cover...nothing was said about him advising her to release it as a single.

But once again, L.A. Reid is making all the wrong decisions when it comes to his artists. Anyone remember the Janet "Rockwitu"/"Luv" situation? I used to respect and lookup to him as a business man, but I don't know what's his deal is now.

the intentional 2nd single was supposed to be "LUV" because it was beginning to do things at radio and "Rockwitu" was supposed to be club promo/international, but was changed last minute to full 2nd single status.
