No. Britney isn't on her way to being legend. Beyonce is.

As is Beyoncé. You can't talk about 2000s - and now 2010s - pop culture without mentioning Beyoncé.

Yes, but it feels like Beyonce is halfway through her career and Britney near the end.... so I think Bey will end up being the bigger legend. Unless Britney makes a total 360 somehow, but she's going to need more talent and that you can't just get like that (not saying she isn't talented, but nowhere close to any of the main pop girls).

..does the hive really believe the GP gives beyonce the attention you all give her?
Now That's What I Call Delusion, vol. 57
The hive stays basking in self-titled forgetting all the years of struggle Bey had to become more relevant than Britney. And now that she's actually getting more success and Britney is staying under the cover, they want to sting.
These moments are cute. I'm glad the hive can finally have a kiiiiii. Because the Army sure as hell was when Bey was NOWHERE to be found on anybody's Radar (on iTunes now!) and Britney was single-handily running the entire music scene (and STILL the magnitude has not been reached).
Why ya'll so insecure and mad?

No.
Not only is Eminem the bigger artist, he's still a force this decade (top-selling male artist this decade in album sales, in addition to being the top-selling male artist of 2000s), doing well into his 40's (while the peer couldn't make it to her 30's), has Diamond certified singles, great recurrent stats, acclaim through the roof, and is a literal and self-proclaimed "Rap God".
Eminem is currently THE latest example of a complete undeniable legend. Britney doesn't compare. It's diminishing to him to compare.
When people think of Eminem they think an all-time rapper, a legend, undeniable talent. Let's be real, no shade.
edit: Wait HOW did I read Eminem

No since Beyonce isn't a legend but might become a legend 1 day, and only Britney thinks she's a legend.

BUT...
Beyoncé has album sales, box office smash tours, GRAMMY awards, respect, acclaim, longevity and undisputed talent.
All that in combination > album sales alone.
' Alone' was the key word.
|
Meanwhile Britney has album sales, single sales, single peaks (hihi), awards, impact, two of the biggest albums of all-time, longevity (she had one flop album 15 years in), legendary performances, etc.
I don't see where Bey dwarfs Britney. Britney has the higher album equivalents total, more impact on pop culture and other musicians, more iconic imagery, more legendary performances, etc. Bey is most definitely a legend, though, too.

and Army, take these threads as the biggest kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
because Britney did it all first. The rest were followers. THAT alone is not only legendary, but iconic.
Love that girl. Still making me them quake, shake, and pee over 15 years into her career.

Not to mention the iconic music videos, performances, magazine covers, the Hollywood Walk of Fame star etc. Let's not even begin with this.

Beyoncé still HAS a career to take care of, actually. That pretty much sums up the discussion over this thread.
