She became an pop music icon before her comeback but her comeback made her an overall icon.

If she hit with B9 whether its so so album sales, decent streams but with 1-2 more hits there's no denying her an overall legend as she bested those that said she wouldn't last past 1 hit, one album, teen pop, cry me a river, her downfall, her comeback (many comebacks only last that era) now she needs to come back from BJ era.

the legendary status will be undisputed.
The success of Vegas has warmed her up.
It's basically the 1 in the 1-2-3 punch she has to deliver so that her legendary status isn't just in pop music but over all
punch 1 - residency success in line with celine, elton, cher, tina turner, shania and getting others to follow JLo and Mariah...interest from miley and katy but they don't have the catalog...will surely be a spot for a handful of artst in the future thanks in credit to Britney being the first one with top 40 play doing it.

punch 3- a good album that at least gets decent album sales (gold) and decent streams.
Remember even Mariah, Whitney, Madonna were releasing albums and music that wasn't the top selling album or song of the year against newer artist that had top selling albums and artist but they did decent enough to still be successful.
Era 9 needs to bring it or else at best she'll be a pop music legend and overall undisputed icon.

I like to think the Myah stuff was just Britney rebelling because she didn't want to be a part of music she didn't genuinely love but if that's true, her expressing how personal the album was and the huge part she played in the process of making it is still unforgivable
Britney definitely should have had a more integral role, though.
