And video editing has nothing to do with how much control she has now, she's not editing her videos, her team is. If anything she might be co-directing this new video, just like she co-directed Disturbia, DSTM, AO, BBHMM etc.

Also the video shoot is happening the week of VSFS rehearsing/taping, so it seems that she cancelled VSFS to film the video, I doubt she would do that if it was to come next year.......

I'm kind of in agreeance with this. To cancel such a big television event, she must be on a tight deadline. And maybe this round she wants to release the song/video at the same time (or at least around the same time) so we don't have to wait as long as we did for BBHMM.

I'm doubting my own words here, but it definitely feels like something final is coming.

The VSFS cancellation was truly the end of ANTI getting released in 2015. Who would cancel an amazing promo slot just because they need to shoot a video? Someone who wouldn't benefit from it because their album won't be out yet

I thought the same thing but now I'm starting to doubt that. Would she really risk burning another bridge with CBS and kill any chance of her ever performing at the VSFS in the future just because the album isn't coming out in 2015, when she could have very well performed BBHMM and FFS even if she didn't have a new song to debut? Wasting a promo opportunity (SNL) is annoying to us fans but it's not detrimental to her career, pulling out at such short notice is bad press and it hurts her business relationships, not to mention it pissed off fans. I think it may be more plausible that she's working under a strict deadline right now, maybe Samsung has put some pressure on her and instead of spending a week in rehearsals for VSFS, she pulled out to finish the album, get ready for the launch and shoot a video.

Well it depends on what the plan is tbh....they might have just decided on the next single and if they want to release the video simultaneously or shortly after then that would take about a month in planning/execution. She would have had to dedicate about a week of rehearsals to VSFS
