I'd say that ultimately your masters alma mater is the most important.

However, for academia, it's obviously where you do your PhD work (hence why I'll be working 200x as hard in my masters program than the average student).

Yes NOWADAYS masters are like bachelor degrees 20 years ago.
Everyone has a masters.
Now it's about getting multiple masters or pHD

I have 1 bachelors and 2 masters and I make 99k and would probably make even more if I went to a fortune 500 but I like the work life balance of a federal gov't job plus my 401k is worth over 100k and I haven't been in the gov't for 10 years yet.

Im going into pharmacy though, so I'll pay it back quickly.

I know a general practitioner who committed to an employer under the pretense that his debt will be paid for in a few years -- and not by him. Had to relocate to some hodunk town in the middle of nowhere though.

Are you GAINFULLY (not Starbucks) employed yourself? Do you have zero debt?

If the answer to both questions is 'yes', then fair enough.

If the answer to either is 'no', then my advice is: become what you want to date before judging and discarding people because they don't fit your expectations that you have not fulfilled yourself yet.

Like last night. I was walking down the street and this guy literally calls out "aye baby!" three times. I did not respond. I was walking back down that same street after I was coming back from where I was going and him and his friends were still around so he then walks near me. I politely (but visibly uncomfortably) smile and keep my distance and I guess one of his friends knew me (I'm fairly well known and it's SO annoying in situations like this) and pointed out to him that I was trans. And let's just say for a sec I did not feel safe. Like... I was clearly not into you and you went out of your way to approach me.

I hate that this kind of BS is so common.
I guess one can only hope that this intolerance fizzles out in time, smh.
