That's only your opinion. People always root for Britney, she's dearly kept in people's hearts. She's not as relevant as before, yes, but so aren't many others and that doesn't mean she's "dead".

She wasn't sucking the penis of an 80 year old legend to stay relevant, she already was regardless. She went though the biggest public meltdown in music history and still managed to make a comeback. Gaga is trying to rebrand herself and it isn't working.
Britney post Circus has nothing to prove, while Gaga has everything to prove. Try as she might, Gaga will NEVER. EVER. EVER be on Britney's level. She will NEVR be able to stand next to those to came before her like Britney has. Britney Spears is unforgettable. Her name is written in history forever, while Gaga's is steadily being erased.
The Monsters need to step off their high horses and ****ing recognise.

That's the dangerous thing about PEAKS. They come and go folks.
Does anyone seriously remember 50 Cent his peak? No. But Lil' Wayne his consistent hits and presence has stuck with us more and he feels more successful.
I used a rap example since most of ATRL isn't as saturated in it like pop girls. So you get a sense of how the GP views these girls from a distance. Until you make it as big as Madonna, Whitney, or Beyonce (  ). you're as good as disposable. The same way people forgot about Xtina after Bionic is the same way people will feel about Britney in a few more years of her flop albums.

5 years into AIDS career she released SHITPOP and was subsequently ended by Katy (a kid's act). Britney released In The Zone and one of the most innovative songs and music videos ever for female pop (Toxic). No comparison.
