I'm a big fan of hers but after the strong debut of The Blessed Unrest you think she'd at least doubled the new album's numbers EVEN without promo.

Little Mix are a pop act. Pop acts cannot sell without a radio hit and that's been a fact since the '80's. Their promo was solid I guess, but not extraordinary, so their sales are great

This industry is so cutthroat. You can be on top of the world at the start of the year, and have your career at risk by the end of it.

Interscope is certainly making a killing off of her by selling this many units with so little American promotion. She's a respectable pop star in America and one of the biggest hitmakers in the UK, I think she'll be fine.

Black Magic did slightly worse than Nobody Love on pop radio, yet Tori debuted with far more than LM. Tori's songs did better on pop than on rhy/urb, so she's primarily a pop act to the GP.
Still, LM's sales are fine considering the general irrelevance of girl groups this decade.

Ellie's sales are fine. they're about what I expected & relatively good imo. Little Mix's are also decent. I thought Sara would do more but isn't her album a soundtrack album? at least that's what it seems like it's being marketed as. so in that context they're not too bad.
Imagine if LMLYD had been the lead single.
