It seems that y'all reallu aren't too fond of the middle section of The Surburbs. "Half Light I" is the seventh track on the album, lyrically it seems to be about growing up and leaving the shelter of your parents.
Best bit: The way it fades in at the beginning. Best lyrics: "Our heads are just houses / Without enough windows"
If I'm not mistaken this was the first single Sleigh Bells released? Pitchfork gave it 'best new track' and the rest is history. The song is about someone is arrogant with Alexis ordering them to "set that crown on the ground" and start acting humble. The song really is quintessential Sleigh Bells and when the band were asked which song best represented their sound this was the answer.
Best bit: The outro Best lyrics: "You never doubted it / You're so proud of it / You straight shouted it"
I gave the good sis Kanye a 4, which in retrospect was a bit high.
Rill Rill and 2 other songs I would not like to mention for fear of being called the Paramore of the rate.
