He went up after the last debate and, according to some polls, did even better than Rubio. I can't stand Ted Cruz and think he's a slimy snake but he's deserving of being there by approval. Politico is misrepresenting the facts. No one at West Point gets a ""scholarship" since tuition is free. Ben was probably told he would be able to go for free with his grades, which to him was a full ride. It's not really a lie.

I think Trump is making a mistake attacking Carson over this issue. He needs to keep it to policy. On his Facebook all his supporters are saying not to attack Carson over this. It's a real low blow and could send all of Carson's support to Cruz if he drops out.

It's a lie because he NEVER APPLIED. I don't think it's a great objection to his candidacy (his policy positions are), but it is, indeed, a lie. You're seeing what isn't there.

Not American, but did VoteMatch. All candidates I agree with (if 45% can be called high) are Republicans: Carly Fiorina and Marco Rubio. Jeb Bush comes third (43%), so I'd go for either out of those three.

Carson is a pathological liar though.
He lied about getting a full scholarship, he didn't even meet the people he said he did- the West Point general wasn't even @ that particular dinner (records show that the guy was in DC playing tennis on that day)
Trump shouldn't attack Carson though. Ben is self combusting on his own

That source links Politco, which is being accused of fabricating the story. Carson is claiming he said he would accept him if he applied. He decided not apply. He never claimed he was accepted there on the spot.

First, I didn't say that Carson claimed he was accepted. Carson's book claimed that he was offered a scholarship. He was told he would likely get one if he were to apply. Those are not the same.

And WHO is accusing Politico of fabricating the story, aside from Carson's camp? And is the spokeswoman for West Point fabricating it, too?
