X has been bigger than any JT album for some time now (even Kworb confirmed this). I'm just surprised because I didn't expect this kind of reaction, he became the biggest male artist of his generation. I agree with your list.

I can't even begin to imagine the sales of his third album, especially because it's coming on the holidays next year

X - 7.013.000 (Less than two million are from the US)
1989 - 8.423.000 (More than five million copies are from the US)

The difference is 1.410 million and he won't be able to pass her (even though it's selling more than 1989 right now). Anyway, X is more successful than 1989, especially because it's the most streamed album of all time and it still sold more than seven million copies / 10 million copies with TEA/SEA. Male, straight and white artists always win.
