I think The X-Files suffers in part from its inaccessibility: other than the monster-of-the-week episodes, most chain together a very subtle plot that doesn't really climax until the 5th season. Hardly something you can throw re-runs on to your channel and expect people to enjoy.
I personally found the show's mythology really terrible and the main reason I was watching The X Files was because of monster-of-the-week episodes. I still have a list with the best monster-of the-week episodes of the show 'Home' alone
And the Christmas two-parter about the dying girl must be the most saddest Christmas episodes ever
The acclaimed show I couldn't get into was The Wire. I dropped it after 1,5 seasons cause it was slow as **** and no characters were interesting enough to keep on going.
Ryan Tedder
10 years in the industry now and no one will ever remember what the hell a OneRepublic is.
All his work with pop artists are not among their best work, but are rather forgotten.
Being constrained to a white people act and writing contrived songs about being poor.
Maroon 5 is less embarrassing.
