Maybe she just keeps up with Taylor's stuff so that she can completely destroy her? Taylor is called a white feminist, Adele embraces intersectionality. Taylor has an exclusive supermodel "squad", Adele subtly shades it. Taylor has no black people in her video, Adele has one in a lead role. Taylor's had 4 #1s with Max Martin and Shellback, Adele suddenly works with them. Even saying that she loves her fans...was preceded by acknowledging that she doesn't connect with us as much as others (Taylor's trademark).
In all seriousness, I don't really think Adele stalks Taylor, but I definitely agree and do think she knows more than she lets on most of the time, about what's going on the pop game especially (in the 21 era, it could be said that she contradicted the actions of Katy and Gaga, even though they were or became friends). She just doesn't always play.
