I wouldn't say she has no artistic identity especially if you stan for an artist that refuses to make eras that aren't sampling or taking from other artists visually and sonically.
I think she went the wrong route and allowed Kanye to guide her in the wrong direction due to friendship.
Friendship doesn't keep a career on high.

Yes, DC had no distinct sound.
They were stereotypical in their debut
Then took the girl gone mad bash men approach
Then they watered down their sound to go pop with corny songs like survivor and bootylcious
Then they rehashed a beat for lose my breath gave forgettable songs for all but cater 2 u was cute though
