It would be fair if you said a movie had original songs, Mamma Mia! would have always been succesful because of ABBA

The most forgotten zeitgeist smash of its time film of the 2000s has to be Juno though. Considering the success, acclaim, cast, and subject matter you'd have expected it to become a classic but no one cares anymore

Moulin Rouge had plenty of covers as well (Material Girl, Roxanne, Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend etc.)
