God, all of you are so pressed at Beyoncé's success. Someone needs to shut this 'cancer' person up, nothing you say makes sense kid.
Such a stupid thread, you don't need 1 million openers to be an icon, look at Madonna and Mariah. Bey is the next one coming, no one entertains like her, Britney is a clown on stage nowadays.
So much jealousy in here.
The fact that you have to throw around stale remarks like it's 2011 just because you can't answer the question This thread is about BEYONCE, not Britney. Try to stay on topic please.
the only reason she sold that much with the her last album was because it was a surprise release, so there was mass hysteria, her next album will be lucky to do 4 numbers, let's not forget that nearly all the singles flopped from the 2013 album including the supposed impending smash "XO"
She should try having a unique sound to gain more people's interest.
As member of the army I am embarrassed. I don't understand why Britney fans are so pressed by Beyoncé Both women are successful in their own ways. yall need to stop being in denial about Beyoncé's impact.
10 days sure as hell isn't a week either. So what's up?
What's up is that you don't seem to understand first week sales, what this thread is about, refer to 7 days. If BEYONCE couldn't open with 1m in 10 days, what makes you think she could have done it in seven?

Yall stay throwing around that "couldn't open with 1m in 10 days" when she did it in 11 though. If it's about the first seven days (actual first week), say it and stop mentioning those damn 10 days. Leave it at that. If you're going to mention those first 10 days, you might as well add that next day when she hit 1m.
she is one of the few artists of the 90s who still sells incredibly well. Britney did, but her decline is real...
Gaga is listed too and declined a lot too after reaching the 1Mil because of 99c deal.
ADELE (i love her) is a huge phenomenon just as Taylor, they sell incredibly well but we will see how that works for them after being in the industry for almost 20 years. I'm certain they will still be big
i don't see why people have to belittle Beyoncé's success. She holds incredibly well and many/most pop girls would struggle to do her numbers without a hit single. So give credit where its due and try to stay objective.
It is making me cringe when people want to belittle the success of some pop girls. just like they do with Britney or XTina etc. etc.! all of them are superstars and had huge impact! Kudos to Beyoncé for doing great numbers so long into her career, besting her first week sales with her latest album.
Selling that much in a long run would be almost impossible for most pop girls without a hit, we saw that with Gaga, Britney, Xtina also with Rihanna with Rated R until Rude Boy. get a life guys
If she had a full week and if physical copies were out she would have definitely done 1m+. Before the BEYONCÉ era 70%+ of her sales were physical. She took a huge risk but she still managed to be successful.
Yeah a predominately physical seller selling 1 million digital copies in 10 days is phenomenal. Imagine if she had full physical backing like the other girls who did 1 million and some deals (although not necessary ).
