Beyonce is a much better face for feminism than Taylor though, let's be honest. Literally everything Taylor has achieved is largely attributable to her insatiable desire to please men (hence her going out with and getting dumped by like 23435934 famous men)
Is Taylor supposed to be a better representation of it?
I didn't say that. I didn't imply that.
I don't even really think that.
So far as popular feminist celebrities go, I think that they all have their shortcomings. The important thing is that they're trying to engage in the conversation at all.
even via adult adoption, t-boz is too old to be a qualifying child. furthermore, unless she lives with chilli for the entirety of the year and has an adjusted gross income of less 3950, with chilli paying half of her support, there is no way she could be a qualifying relative. in short there is no way for chilli to claim a dependency exemption for boz
I am curious as to why you think she's such a bad feminist.
- She let her husband turn Tina Turner's domestic violence into a sexual pun
- She steals publishing royalties from the women who write her songs
- She manipulated and mistreated La Tavia, Farrah, and the other one
it is racist to discredit beyonces brand of feminism just because she is dumb. due to her black femaleness, she was systematically deprived in ways that unfortunately have denied her the ability to explain things or write songs
Still better than all of the women I mentioned lol. Mid-'90s Madonna and Janet were comparable, but now they are obviously not. The others never have been, although Taylor sounds great in the studio.
