I wonder if some holiday favorites (both Halloween and Xmas) will rank higher digitally than usual cuz the interest in them will be consistent while the digital market as a whole is down.

I think Thriller made it to #14 last year (or that may have been its combined position), so maybe it can actually hit top ten this year.
I know at one time an artist couldn't perform at both the AMAs and Grammys. This may have changed, as I was told this over a decade ago and I haven't been paying attention to see if this is still true. Adele may present an award at the AMAs if she doesn't perform though.
lol at ariana stans unwilling to accept that iggy made problem a smash hit.. the result is for all to see
with iggy -> 400k+ opening
without iggy -> 90k-100k

Before Problem:
The Way: 219K
Baby I: 144K
Iggy has never gotten over a 100K opening with none of her singles. But you were saying.

I think there's no standard and no rule for Adele. ABC would pay millions to NBC to get Adele for AMAs (it this really a case)

more like
with Problem ->400k
with Focus -> 90-100k
Its SONGS that matter most. Silly that you just assume its Iggy. Iggy didnt sell albums. Iggy sold 25k first week of Beg for its release. Iggy didnt stop Pretty girls flopping hard. Iggy featured on many songs and they flopped. Quit being selective.
Lols, as much as y'all have been having a good time dragging Ariana, the "Problem did so well because Iggy!" argument needs to stop.
Iggy's next era will bomb. I doubt her lead single will even do 50K first week, let alone 100K. If you're implying Iggy was the reason behind Ariana doing 300K more, than I'm expecting Iggy's comeback to do 300K+ first week since she's able to do that much on features first week alone.
And better yet, if Iggy was the reason for the 300K, then why did her features for other artists never even do half that for atleast 1 week? (No Mediocre, Booty, Pretty Girls, All Hands on Deck)
She magically had power to shift 300K on that feature that worked for no other feature, or none of her songs bar Fancy? Gotta love ATRL logic.
