Britney's voice was so perfectly suited for this song! Something about the way she sings the "between you and I-iiii-i-iiii-i" part is so hypnotic. Willem's version is just bland and there's nothing enticing about his nasally wimp voice. I listened to a few other tracks of his and I have to say I think he's in a bad habit of singing in a wimpy and whiny falsetto. I know maybe it's ridiculous to bring up a topic like "vocal technique" in a Britney thread (though I must say Britney knows her limits and works her voice to her advantage), but I'm sort of disgusted with the fact that this guy with a completely unexceptional voice won Nouvelle Star.
I still feel like kicking Britney in the ass for not making State Of Grace an official song.
