True, except I try to not be busy while I'm here. Like I have an important paper due in less than week on a book that I haven't read yet but I'm home so I haven't done any of it
How songs are scored exactly has always been something contestants are curious to know. There's so much that goes into a song... structure, meter, rhyming, flow, direction, concept, execution, creativity and of course how well the song fits the given challenge that week, among many others, which all has to come down to a single number. This season, we've come up with the ultimate solution.
Twist: Criterion Scoring
Starting from this round, you will no longer be given just a general overall score for your song by the judges. Each round will have different criteria for you to meet, which will be factored into your final score.
One constant criteria will be the general overall score, as every challenge has been scored against so far. This is the basic criteria; how well we like the song (regardless of the challenge) and the technical aspects, like structure, meter, forced rhyming and syllable stressing etc. Other criterion will change from week to week depending on the challenge. For example, this week you were scored against two criteria; the first being the general one and the second being how well your submission would fit the album of your choice.
The general criteria will always have the most weight when determining your final score, but the other criteria will also have a significant impact on your score, so it's important that you pay attention to all aspects of the challenge.
