Deffo. All those ~HYSTERICAL~ comments likening black artists like Beyoncé to apes are also ~just jokes~ but they're not nearly as tolerated because prejudice toward black people is more stigmatized than prejudice toward, say, Muslims.
I can't speak for everyone or course, but in my case the reason I wasn't really bothered by that original post is that I haven't really been bothered to read anything that user has posted in months.
