Let me not be mean to the Selegend (and Godryl ) stan, but Rihanna is still a thing. She just needs to ditch Jay, go back to a proper deal with Def Jam and release quality pop music, and not try and be an artisté for the sake of it. Some people say she's entitled to make the music she wants, and that's true after 7 albums, but why on earth anyone would want to record Four Five Seconds or American Oxygen is beyond me. She could record similar, organic songs that she likes that are better produced if she ditched Jay, Kanye et all. Basically, she should do her sound but get better production.
I'm mad at Gags and her team on how they handled Artpop. After Applause came and went DWUW was suddenly released and it was hot, so film a video and release it got that top ten and focus on what's next. From iTunes it was a clear picture that gypsy was the only album track that was moving up , so that is your third single promote it and then release GAY and go on tour .
Had she gone that route Artpop would have seen better sells.
But I don't live for the charts, I love Artpop no matter what
