Is Halsey's album good? I've been considering giving her a chance. People whose music taste I respect seem to like her. I'm not expecting some kind of outstanding lyricism or anything from what I've heard of New Americana.

It's not good, no, but she's hardly the second coming of Meghan Trainor, either. There are occasional glimmers of competence.
