Quite a few places are predicting TIHTY getting nominated for an Oscar. Pretty amazing, really.

She can perform the song without growling like DrunkGa. And another acclaimed performance will do even more wonders for her and her upcoming album
Can she? I mean, her studio vocals are a bit... rough. She would sound a mess if she tried to recreate that, like always (see: Judas, Applause & Aura). Idk, I'm not sure it'd sound good live.

This year's performance felt so special, like a once in a career moment. It's clear that a TIHTY performance ain't beating it (plus the messy live potential the song has) so why don't we just leave things the way they are now...
TIHTY performance wouldn't take away from TSOM performance. Worst case it'll just get overlooked.
She doesn't need to win, but a nomination would be brilliant for her brand and a great performance will help sell her into the Academy. Don't underestimate how beneficial that'll be if/when she breaks into film.

Like I could care less about TIHTY winning the Oscars award as long as it gets nominated and Gaga performs there. Gaga has a whole life to try to get the Oscars award in the future anyway
If it gets a nom it doesn't have to be performed, but there's a good chance it will. What's more important is she gets nommed for TIHTY at the the movie events (Globes and Oscars) and most importantly at the Grammys alongside Best Music Film for C2C Live! so she can snag an LG5 single promo performance slot.
And since Sam's Bond song is such a non-event, this really could end up with a chance of winning.
