Are these real views now or will there be another recount? If its not the actual views then she'll reach 100mill before the views show it right? Im confused about when they update the views so theyre the real numbers.

It's only the first day where the views lag behind a lot because their counter cannot keep up with the traffic.
VEVO confirmed that it's first day was 27.7M Views, so now every view after the first day is the real view, because it can keep up now.
She gained 17.3M so far today, which means that tomorrow by midnight she should be crossing or be very close to 100M . She will make the record around four days and ~21 hours
This will probably never be topped. Like no one else will have that type of hype.
This and the "Vevo record" are like the most likely to be topped in the near future. Daily video views are increasing so fast worldwide. Time spent watching video is up 60% yr/yr. That's partly why the #VEVOrecord is shattered every few months. Viral sensations are like a foundation of our culture atm.
Harlem Shake pulled 100M views per day and 300M views per week at its peak.

Those were people posting multiple videos of 30 second clips of them dancing to the song.
As for a full-length video reaching 27.7M views in the first 24H and 100M in <5 days, there won't be anyone anytime soon that can beat that tbh.
I don't even think Miley can top that if she had another similar era.

I feel like viral videos have lost their momentum and people like Bieber, etc can't do it.
This literally had the entire GP talking about it. If anyone does manage to break it, it'll be a while.
Her Spotify record will eventually get broken (as Spotify continues to grow) but that's about it.
I was looking at Psy's Gentleman #s and that was a MONSTER viral sensation loll. If he had put that on VEVO, that record would be in tact for a long while.

That is true. You never know, someone completely random or well-known could release one huge ass viral sensation outta nowhere.
